PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig suitably used for the packaging of and the attaching of a spiral wound gasket having a large diameter to a flange. SOLUTION: By using a pair of annular holder A and A annularly formed by machining L-shaped steel, a spiral wound gasket B held between cushion materials 5a and 5b is bound to the upper annular holder A by a binding member 6a, then the lower annular holder A is bound by a binding member 6b and packaged, this is transported to a flange portion, and after the pair of holders A and A are dettached in a procedure reverse to the previous procedure, the gasket is fastened to the flange portion and thus attaching is completed.
