PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibrator which is free of performance deterioration by effectively preventing a lid body from generating rust. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric vibrator 20 is equipped with a piezoelectric vibrating element 21, a base 22 for storing the piezoelectric vibrating element, and a metallic lid body 23 for sealing the base, while the piezoelectric vibrating element is stored in the base, and a sealant 25 which is molten by being heated is applied to the surface of the lid body which is fixed to the base and the surface of the lid body which is at least different from the sealant-applied surface is plated with metal 34.
