PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaking device capable of protecting electric components by breaking a circuit surely in a short time when an abnormal signal of a vehicle is inputted. SOLUTION: This circuit breaking device is equipped with a leaf spring 15 making a substantially circular arc from one end thereof to the other end with the one end connected to a first bus bar 11, a low-melting point metal 23, such as solder, for joining the other end of the leaf spring 15 to a second bus bar 19 with the leaf spring 15 substantially straightened, a thermit case 25 disposed near the low-melting point metal 23 and loaded with a heating agent 27, and an ignition part 29 for igniting the heating agent 27 loaded in the thermit case 25 by an abnormal signal sent via a lead wire 31 from the exterior when a vehicle is abnormal.
