PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overflow mechanism for a basin at a low cost and with ease. SOLUTION: Part of the inner-surface side of a basin 10 is formed separately from its body part 22 so as to serve as an overflow mechanism part 24 and is mounted so as to abut on the inner-surface side of the body part 22; thereby forming the whole body of the basin 10 out of the overflow mechanism part 24 and the body part 22. The overflow mechanism part 24, having a hollow structure as a whole, includes a overflow hole 34 at a prescribed height and a drain outlet 36 at the lower end part, and the inner hollow part is constituted so as to serve as an overflow water path 38 connecting between the overflow opening 34 and the drain outlet 36.
