PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal such as a facsimile terminal where the size of a control program for read inhibition setting control of a maintenance management communication system can be reduced and the confidentiality of data to which inhibition is set can be secured. SOLUTION: A main control section 1 of a facsimile terminal 20 transmits, in response to a data read request signal of the device information and the registered information from the personal computer 30 of the management center, device information, registered information and external display setting information denoting whether or not display of data for each item of the device information and the registered information is permitted to a personal computer 30 of a management center. Since the facsimile terminal 20 has only to send all data without making selection of the device information and the registered information, the processing load of the facsimile terminal 20 can be relieved.
