PURPOSE: A broadcasting form displaying method is provided to enable a user to confirm a video compact disk by reading national television system committee(NTSC)/phase alternation by line(PAL) information in a table of content(TOC) of a video compact disk. CONSTITUTION: In a broadcasting form displaying method, if a disk is loaded on a video compact disk system(302), a control part reads a TOC which is recorded in a read in region of the load disk(304). The control part checks whether the inputted disk is a disk of an NTSC form, by use of the read TOC(306). If the disk is a disk of the NTSC form, read NTSC information of the disk is stored in a memory, and is sent to an NTSC/PAL OSD part(308). If the disk is a disk of a PAL form, read PAL information is stored in the memory, and is sent to the NTSC/PAL OSD part(310). The sent NTSC information is displayed through the NTSC/PAL OSD part(312), and the sent PAL information is displayed through the NTSC/PAL OSD part(314). |
