Textile tube for manufacture of e.g. vehicle cable looms comprises threads surrounded by sound-deadening threads or plastic coating reducing noise e.g. in contact with hard objects, in diverse implementations, which can be e.g. laser-cut, simultaneously serving free ends. The substrate threads are monofilament, multifilament or fibrous yarns. At least one of them has a soft coating or further, surrounding thread, to deaden noise. Preferred features: The sound-deadening thread is added using known techniques, e.g. crocheting, winding, knitting, linking, twisting, spinning, or braiding around the substrate threads. The monofilament fibers are surrounded by staple fibers forming fringes. Threads have a diameter of 0.14-0.5 mm, with tensile modulus of 600 MPa. The tubing comprises only fibers with noise-deadening coating or surrounding sound-deadening yarn. Alternating individual fibers are flocked with sound deadening yarn or sound deadening coating. Groups of parallel monofilaments and multifilament fibers, treated as described, or groups in selected arrangement of monofilament and multifilament fibers, are flocked together. At the ends of the tubing, free ends are welded or adhered together. The noise deadening yarn is multifilament. The tubing is slit longitudinally, free ends being welded, and a zipper-type fastener is attached. The closure is further detailed. The tubing is manufactured as round ware or by turning a band, with zipper-type edge connection. The product (wiring loom casing) has a tree-like structure. Round- and band- wares may be combined. |
