PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite cable, capable of power supply and/or transmission of light and electricity. SOLUTION: This composite cable unit 10 has both an optical fiber subunit 1 which includes at least one optical fiber and an electric subunit 2 including at least one conductor. The optical fiber subunit 1 and the electrical subunit 2 have a common jacket material and are connected, such that both the subunits 1, 2 can be separated from each other. The composite cable unit 10 can be utilized in single, or for example utilized for a fan-out cable, a breakout cable or the like.
