PURPOSE: A microwave oven with an SHF(superhigh-frequency) oscillator is provided to be driven at a low voltage and to be easily produced by simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven includes a power generating unit(200), an SHF oscillating pipe(100), a waveguide(250) and cooking chamber(300). The power generating unit boosts AC(alternating currents) of about 120/220V into DC(direct currents) of 500-700V. The SHF oscillating pipe is driven by the DC power of about 500-700V from the power generating unit and generates SHF. The DC of 500-700V for the SHF oscillating pipe is considerably low, compared with one of a magnetron and a klystron. That is, the microwave oven is driven by boosting the AC into the DC of four times without a HVT(high voltage transformer) and supplying the DC to the SHF oscillating pipe.
