PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify structure to suppress the increase of weight and to attain thin structure, and further to improve reliability and to suppress cost increase. SOLUTION: Tonneau cover winding mechanism is composed of a sliding shaft 15; wires 16a, 16b locked to both ends of the sliding shaft 15; and a coil spring 18 disposed at the innermost part of a storage space X, parallel with the sliding shaft 15 to impart energizing force to the respective other ends of the wires 16a, 16b to lead the sliding shaft 15 into the innermost part of the storage space X.
