The present invention relates to a method for controlling an opening amount of a proportional valve of a combustion device, comprising: a step of continuously determining that a forced combustion setting mode is selected for controlling a resistance value of a variable resistor for adjusting a proportional valve current by receiving an output signal of an operating part in a Microcomputer when combustion is performed in a combustion device; a step of reading a resistance value of a variable resistor for controlling a proportional valve opening amount when the forced combustion setting mode is selected; a step of determining of entering a normal combustion mode or releasing a forced combustion setting mode; and a step of returning to the step of determining whether an initial forced combustion setting mode is selected while the resistance value of the variable resistor read previously is stored in EEPROM and an opening amount of a proportional valve corresponding to a resistance value stored inside the EEPROM is controlled when entering the normal combustion mode or releasing the forced combustion setting mode. Therefore, in the case in which a person except for a professional warranty service engineer is mal-operated, including a case in which a variable resistor for adjusting a current value with respect to a proportional valve is failed, which may be generated in a normal state, an analog resistance value of a variable resistor is converted into a digital signal to prevent incomplete combustion of a combustion part caused by a current value error or the like generated while being input into a Microcomputer, in advance. In addition, reliability according to controlling of a proportional valve opening amount is included to significantly improve stability, marketability, and reliability of a combustion device. |
