摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helix type slow-wave circuit capable of reducing dielectric loss in a supporter caused by a dielectric. SOLUTION: A helix type slow-wave circuit is arranged in a cylindrical space 4 inside a vacuum envelope formed with a magnetic pole 2, a circular spacer 3, and a magnet 7. The helix type slow-wave circuit has a helix 5 formed by helically working a metal ribbon and a plurality of dielectric supporting rods 13 for fixing the helix 5 to the inside of a cylindrical space 4. The dielectric supporting rod 13 has an almost rectangular cross section and a plurality of holes 14 installed in the length direction. By installing the hole 14, equivalent specific dielectric constant can be lowered, electric field strength in electron beam path is heightened, and thereby, efficiency of a traveling wave tube is enhanced.
