Manufacture of pellets from grass cuttings for use as litter for household pets

Cuttings of various grasses are reduced then dried for at least one minute at 160 degrees Celsius. A binder, e.g. starch, vegetable oil or albumin, is added up to 20 per cent of total weight. Pellets are then formed with a diameter of 5-7mm and length of 5-70mm as required.
