From an image signal generated by a CCD image sensor, a class tap and a prediction tap are extracted by a blocking section (28) of an image signal processor (25). The class tap is outputted to an ADRC processing section (29) and the prediction tap is outputted to an adapting section (31). The ADRC processing section (29) generates feature information by ADRC-processing the received image signal. A class sorting section (30) generates a class code corresponding to the feature information and supplies to the adapting section (31). The adapting section (31) reads the predication coefficient set corresponding to the class code from a coefficient set memory (32), and generates all the R, B, and G chromatic signals for the position of the pixel being a processing object.
