摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a magnetic disk device and to miniaturize it. SOLUTION: The printed circuit board of a magnetic disk device is divided into a printed circuit board 1 and a printed circuit board 13 and only the printed circuit board 1 is combined with a DE(Disk Enclosure) 2 one to one. The board 1 is constituted of a data read/write control circuit 6, a connector for connection 3 with the board 13, a circuit 4 holding parameters intrincic to the DE 2 and an analog-to-digital converting circuit 5. The board 13 is constituted of a connector for connection 14 with the board 1, an interface control circuit 16 with a host system 19, a connector for connection 17 with the host system 19, an SPM(Spindle Motor)/VCM(Voice Coil Motor) control circuit 18 and an arithmetic processing circuit 15. When the magnetic disk device is replaced, the board 13 is used as it is and the DE 2/the board 1 are replaced with a DE 8/a printed circuit board 7 whose constitution are same as those of the DE 2/the board 1.
