PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely and simply perform proofreading and to make possible stable inspection by obtaining a correlation between a true value of a reproduced signal of an inspecting standard optical disk and the measurement data obtained measuring the inspecting optical disk and proofreading a measurement means. SOLUTION: When an optical disk inspecting device 40 is proofread, a controller 43 controls an optical disk device 41 and a measuring device 42, and reproduces the inspecting standard optical disk by (n) times to measure the reproduced signal and to send the measured data to a computer 44. The computer 44 minimum square method processes (n) pieces of measured data, and makes them the measured data X with less error, and obtains a correlative expression Y=aX+b with the known true value Y of the reproduced signal of the inspecting standard optical disk to store the gain (a), the offset amount (b) of the measuring device 42.
