PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive high-reliability measuring system while utilizing a general computer by providing first and second central units having a function for collecting measured data and having the same transmission address. SOLUTION: When installing two central units, one unit is designated as master side, the other unit is designated as slave side and corresponding to this designation, a central processor 106 of a duplex card 100 sets the information of a switching signal. When the master side central unit is turned into abnormal state disabled to reset a watchdog timer (when an OS runs away), for example, an abnormal signal is outputted from a contact output part 110 of the duplex card 100 in the master side central unit. At the same time, the switching signal of the master side is switched and reported through a personal computer path 101 to a central processor 106 of the slave side central processing unit by the master side central processor 106. Afterwards, the master side central processing unit is operated as the slave side central processing unit.
