IMPROVED METHOD FOR DISPLAYING PROGRAM INFORMATION IN SATELLITE BROADCASTING RECEIVER

PURPOSE: A program data display method of a satellite broadcasting receiver is provided to diversify program guiding service and effectively promote the broadcasting program by supplying promotion images and animation commercial images when a user requests guidance about the broadcasting program. CONSTITUTION: Program guidance packets including animation broadcasting promotion data packets and animation commercial data about each broadcasting program are transmitted by the broadcasting station. A satellite broadcasting receiver stores the program guidance packets, animation broadcasting promotion data packets and animation commercial data packets separately. When a user requests guidance about a specific broadcasting program, animation broadcasting promotion data packets and animation commercial data packets about the program are displayed on a screen.
