PURPOSE:To provide a magnesia/calsia base clinker which has excellent slaking resistance and is suited to monolithic refractories of a basic castable and a spraying material, etc., and to provide its production method. CONSTITUTION:The clinker superior in the slaking resistance is produced from the sintered magnesia/calsia clinker which has a chemical composition of >=97%, by weight, in total of MgO, CaO and Fe2O3, in terms of oxide, and >=30% MgO, 0.2-5% Fe2O3 and 0.5-3% TiO2 and consists of a coating film which comprises primarily calcium phosphate and magnesium phosphate which are present on the surface. |
