PURPOSE:To provide an alumina substrate and a green sheet capable of preparing the alumina substrate having wide use, small surface roughness, good dimensional accuracy and small warp. CONSTITUTION:In production of a green sheet by subjecting a mixture of raw material powder consisting of alumina powder and a sintering auxiliary, a water soluble resin, an organic additive and water to extrusion molding, the alumina powder has 0.8-1.0mum average particle diameter and the sintering auxiliary contains SiO2, MgO and CaO in such proper amounts as to give 100wt.% total amount and these components satisfy the following relationships, based on weight: 1.3 [(water)divided by (water soluble resin+organic additive)]<=1.7 and 22 [(organic additive)divided by (water+organic additive)X100]<=30. Further, this green sheet is sintered to provide the objective alumina substrate. |
