EQUIPMENT AND PROCESS FOR CARBONIZING SOLID WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-waste carbonization equipment capable of shortening the time required for the carbonization stage and improving the fuel cost. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with: a carbonization chamber 1 for carbonizing solid waste 20; a heating chamber 2 which is formed so as to enclose the carbonization chamber 1 and also has a heater 11 within; a combustion chamber 3 which is positioned above the carbonization chamber 1 and communicated with the carbonization chamber 1 and also has a combustion device 12 within; a water outlet 21 placed at the bottom of the carbonization chamber 1, at which water is liable to accumulate; a pipeline formed so that water allowed to accumulate is introduced into the heating chamber 2 from the water outlet 21 to heat and vaporize the water by a heater 11 in the heating chamber 2; and a pipeline succeeding to the above pipeline, which is placed so as to introduce the vaporized steam in the heating chamber 2 into the combustion chamber 3 or carbonization chamber 1.
