The production machine comprises roller pair (4) consisting of rollers (4a,4b) moving an insulating paper strip (6) by intermittently to stamping/embossing station (2). The stamping/embossing unit (8) consists if a meter/knife block (10) set up at a support carrier (12) with plate (22). The plate and middle slider (18) form a recess with insulating paper formed there through. An Independent claim is also included for a method for producing groove/slot.
