PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display switch excellent in visibility and operability in the daytime and also at night. SOLUTION: In this display switch, a switch body 2 is formed of a black smoky material, display characters 4 having a two-layered structure of light- transmitting blue and white layers are formed on a surface thereof while a fluorescent layer 3 is formed on the back side of the switch body 2, and an ultraviolet lamp 5 for irradiating ultraviolet rays 5a is disposed under the switch body 2. When the switch body 2 is irradiated with white light, the display characters 4 are displayed in white on the black switch body 2. When the ultraviolet lamp 5 is turned on, the fluorescent layer 3 emits light to brightly irradiate the whole of the switch body 2, and the display characters 4 are displayed in blue therein.
