PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image of high image quality that has good balance of colors, with high glossiness and is superior in transparency of toner. SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted by being provided with; an intermediate transfer body 15 carrying a toner image formed on its surface, a transfer fixing part B transferring and fixing the toner image on a recording medium P by superimposing the intermediate transfer body 15 and the recording medium P and a cooling part C cooling the recording medium P and the intermediate transfer body 15 in a state of tight adhesion. In this case, the intermediate transfer body is provided as the intermediate transfer body 15 by which a backside of the recording medium P, front side of which comes into contact with the intermediate transfer body 15, is electrified to a same polarity as the polarity of a surface potential of the intermediate transfer body 15 before being proceeded to the transfer fixing part B when the intermediate transfer body 15 and the recording medium P are passed by the transfer fixing part B in a state where neither is charged.
