PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the oil rising and prevent the deterioration of lubricating property in liquid returning operation by mounting a nozzle on the discharge port of a compressing mechanism part, mounting a demister on the inside wall of a casing opposed to the outlet of the nozzle, and connecting the lower part of the demister to the upper part of an oil passage. SOLUTION: The coolant gas and oil discharged to an upper space 17 through the outlet of a nozzle 18 are collided to a demister 14, and the coolant gas is separated from the oil because oil drops are adhered to the demister 14. The coolant gas separated from the oil is passed in a coolant passage 13 between a fixed scroll 3 and a casing 1 to cool a motor 8, and then discharged through a discharge pipe 7. The oil is passed in an oil passage 11 under the demister 14 and guided to an oil basin part 10. At this time, since a differential pressure corresponding to the wind loss of the motor 8 part is generated between the outlet and inlet ports of the oil passage 11, the oil adhered to the demister 14 is sucked to the oil basin part 10 side by the straw effect, and the oil rising rate can be consequently reduced.
