PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct an accented roof by attaching decorative batten seams on a laterally roofed roof by using metal roof boards. SOLUTION: When attaching a decorative batten seam 20 on a laterally roofed roof, an inserting piece 32 of an attaching metal fitting 30 is inserted in a connecting part between a metal roof board 10d of an edge of eaves side and a metal roof board 10u of a ridge side, and an abutting part 31 is fixed on an end surface 15 of the edge of eaves in the metal roof board 10u of the ridge surface with a blind rivet 16. Then, the decorative batten seam 20 is covered, and blind rivets 26R, 26L are penetrated into elongated holes 35R, 35L drilled in attaching pieces 33R, 33L from attaching holes 23R, 23L formed on side walls 21R, 21L of the decorative batten seam 20 to fix both side walls 21R, 21L on the attaching pieces 33R, 33L.
