PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably position and hold an inner case body and an outer case body to reduce removal of the case body by increasing engaging force between an engaging portion and an uneven string. SOLUTION: The adjustable case comprises an outer case body 3 fitted over an inner case body 2 in a longitudinally slidable manner so that a closed end of the inner case body 2 and a closed end of the outer case body 3 are positioned at both longitudinal sides, wherein the case is stretchable and adjustable by engagement/disengagement of an engaging portion 27 with an uneven string 23. In this case, the uneven string 23 is provided at both widthwise sides off from a ridge of a parallelopiped corner on an external surface of a side wall 8 of the inner case body 2, while the engaging portion 27 is provided at both widthwise sides off from a ridge of a parallelopiped corner on an internal surface of a side wall 17 of the outer case body 3.
