PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of products by evacuating and moving a roller chain conveyor provided with a plurality of rollers freely rotatably at prescribed intervals in the longitudinal direction of the chain in an opposite direction after the roller chain conveyor is moved up to a product receiving position and products are mounted on the rollers. SOLUTION: The height of an accumulating base 19 is adjusted by a lifter 35, and products 3 carried by a conveyor 5 is made horizontally deliverable onto a first roller 21a of a roller chain conveyor 25. An elevating lowering member 45 is lowered so that a second roller 21b of the roller chain conveyor 25 may move, rolling on surfaces of already accumulated products 3 on the accumulating base 19 and a free end of the roller chain conveyor 25 may move up to a tip position of the conveyor 5. After products 3 are moved on the first roller 21a and one side edge part 3a is butted and positioned against a butting member 29, the elevating/lowering member 45 is elevated, the roller chain conveyor 25 is drawn into the butting member 29 and products 3 are gradually lowered on the accumulating base 19.
