PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve riding comfort of a vehicle by reducing the fore-and-aft rigidity of a suspension, and to improve the responsiveness and stability of the vehicle by suppressing a toe-out direction-wise displacement of a rear wheel when the rear wheel receives a lateral force or a fore-and-aft force (braking force). SOLUTION: This rear suspension device is provided with a suspension arm 2 extended substantially in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and virtically rotatably supported on the vehicle through a first shock-absorbing body, and a wheel supporting body 6 supported on a rear end of the suspension arm 2 and rotatably supporting a wheel 8. The wheel supporting body 6 is rotatably connected to the suspension arm 2 through a connecting shaft 7 which is vertically offset from a wheel center WC around which the wheel 8 rotates, and extended substantially in a lateral direction of the vehicle. A second shock- absorbing body 5 is disposed between the wheel supporting body 6 and the suspension arm 2, for controlling rotation of the wheel supporting body 6 in a shock absorbing manner.
