PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease rubbing resistance between fixing film and a supporting member, to prevent the faulty rotation of the fixing film and the slip of recording material caused by the faulty rotation and also to prevent wrinkling of paper by providing a rotating sliding member rotating in slave to the fixing film on the surface of the supporting member opposed to the fixing film. SOLUTION: A heating member 9 is constituted of a heater H, the heat resistant fixing film 11 sliding on the surface of the heater, and a heat insulating supporting member (film guiding member) 12 rotatably supporting the film 11. Then, a driven roller 22 obtained by cylindrically molding resin such as POM is provided at both ends of the surface of the member 12 opposed to the fixing film, and the film 11 in the vicinity of a heating nip part N is tensioned by the roller 22. Since wrinkling of the paper are prevented by keeping straight the longitudinal shape of the film 11 preceding the heating nip part N, it is desirable to put the roller 22 in the vicinity of the heating nip part on the upstream side (recording material rush-in side) of the member 12.
