PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of surely rewinding film without damaging the film or the driving mechanism of a camera even when a power source is instantaneously cut off in the midst of film feeding. SOLUTION: Information on the number of exposure feasible frames on a film cartridge is read by a film information reading means 2, and stored in a storage means 6. When the power source of this camera is instantaneously cut off because of the attachment/detachment of the power source in the midst of feeding the film by a film feeding means 4, winding processing is not restarted but rewinding processing is started in the case of judging that the power source is instantaneously cut off in the midst of the winding operation of the final frame on an exposed frame number counting means 3 and the information on the number of exposure feasible frames stored in the storage means 6.
