PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the optical driving device which can be made small-sized and save the electric power even when the movement length of a movable lens mounted on optical equipment such as a video camera is made long. SOLUTION: The device comprises a lens group 21 including at least the movable length and a voice coil type linear motor which can move the movable lens forward and backward and the permanent magnet 29 and yoke 30 of the voice coil type linear motor are provided on the movable lens side as a movable piece, and coils 32a and 32b forming a magnetic circuit between the permanent magnet 29 and yoke 30 are provided as a stator, which is divided into pieces and arranged to form movable piece and magnetic circuits respectively.
