PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an acceleration sensor and an acceleration-detecting apparatus which are compact and easy to handle, and output signals proportional to a size of vibrations. SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor 1 constitutes a sealed container of a cylindrical metallic container 2 with one end closed and a disc plate 3. A conductive liquid 4 is sealed in the sealed container. A plurality of metallic lead terminals 5A, 5B... insulated from each other penetrate and are fixed to the sealed container. The lead terminals are arranged at equal intervals and spaced by an equal distance from an inner face of the metallic container. Since a part responding to an acceleration is liquid and the other part is only the sealed container and lead terminals, the need of setting parts having a particularly high accuracy from a structural view point or mechanical moving parts is eliminated. The acceleration sensor is not broken or changed in characteristic by a mere impact acceleration during normal handling.
