PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To box a plurality of items at the same time and improve job efficiency by inserting expansion-type grasping devices between the plurality of items also by disposing pressing members outside the items, by expanding the expansion type grasping devices, and by storing the items into the box while sandwiching the items between the expansion type grasping devices and pressing members. SOLUTION: To store a plurality of containers Y in an item aligning area 7 into a box H in a boxing area 11 at the same time, the raising/lowering part 13 of a servo-robot 10 is first moved horizontally, thereby positioning a grasping part 20 above the item aligning area 7, an arm 14 is thereafter lowered to insert expansion-type grasping devices 22 into empty spaces made between the containers, and also pressing members 23, located outside the containers Y, are positioned below lids F along the side faces thereof. Subsequently the containers Y are sandwiched between the expansion-type grasping devices 22 and pressing members 23 by being pressed by the expansion of the expansion-type grasping devices and being pressed firmly with the pressing members 23 toward the expansion-type grasping devices 22 pressing from opposite. Then, the expansion of the expansion-type grasping devices 22 is removed. Thus, the containers Y are stored in the box H.
