PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make proper energy absorbing performance provided. SOLUTION: In this shifter, a space between a shaft 11 for supporting a shift lever and the body side is fixed with a resin pin 28 which is broken when impact force is applied from the shift lever. Impact energy is efficiently absorbed while suppressing a coming-off load of the shaft 11 to a low level, by absorbing the impact energy not only in the first but also during moving of the shaft 11 with combination of energy absorption resulting from breakage of the resin pin 28 and energy absorption resulting from plastic deformation of a corrugated plate 31, using structure to restrain the moving of the shaft 11 after breakage of the resin pin 28 by the plastic deformation of the corrugated plate 31 fixed to the shaft 11.
