The conveyor has a rotationally driven inner plate (17) and a rotationally driven outer ring (6) enclosing the inner plate. At least one intermediate ring (18) between them is rotationally driven by a drive arrangement (48) at a revolution rate different from that of the inner plate and that of the outer ring. The intermediate ring can be driven faster than the inner plate or outer ring.
