PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject mixture capable of gradually and completely releasing an agrochemical active ingredient, capable of maintaining the activities for a long period, excellent in compatibility with the agrochemical active ingredient, and useful for labor-saving treating granular agent by mixing waxes having a respectively specific melting point and acid value. SOLUTION: This mixture comprises a montanic acid wax and a montanic ester wax. The montanic acid wax has >=60 deg.C melting point and >=100 mg-KOH/ g acid value, and the montanic ester wax has >=60 deg.C melting point and <=25 mg-KOH/g acid value. The sustained release agrochemical preparation contains >=5 wt.% mixture, 0.01-50 wt.% agrochemical active ingredient (having >=100 ppm solubility in water and >=100 deg.C melting point), and an inorganic diluting carrier (e.g. calcium carbonate).
