Gas centrifuge has a plate-like, cylindrical or round rotor (3), a hollow shaft (4) on the gas injection side, flow channels (7) running radially to the outer periphery, an axially running annular gap (8), a division of the annular gap into inner and outer gaps, flow channels (10) connecting the outer gap to the hollow shaft, and flow channels (9) connecting the inner gap with bores in the axial direction. A vacuum prevails in the outer surrounding of the rotor during operation. |
