PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate flexure from either page to be recorded by providing a section for controlling a thermal head to perform recording while carrying a booklet through a carry roller from the binding part side toward the side end part side when recording is performed on either page of the booklet. SOLUTION: A booklet recorder 13 has a section for controlling carriage of a booklet 10 through carrying rollers, recording with a thermal head 4, and the like. When recording is performed on either page of the booklet 10 on the opposite sides of the binding part 11, the control section 14 controls the thermal head 4 to perform recording while carrying the booklet 10 through the carry rollers 8 from the binding part 11 side toward the side end part 12 side. Since either page is carried in the direction for straightening flexure, flexure can be eliminated from either page in the recording.
