The invention concerns a fuel injection valve (1) in particular an injection valve designed to be mounted in the fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine. Said fuel injection valve (1) comprises a piezoelectric or magnetostrictive actuator (16) mounted in a valve body (2), sealingly protected against the fuel by an actuator housing (15), and a closure (7) capable of being actuated by the actuator (16) by a valve needle (6) co-operating with a valve seat surface (5) to form a sealed zone. The valve body (2) and the actuator housing (15) have adjacent recesses (38, 39), and the valve body (2) is coupled to the actuator housing (15), in a marginal zone of the recesses (38, 39). Thus a communicating orifice is formed (41) sealed against the fuel. Said communicating orifice (41) is filled with a filler element (43) whereto at least an electric supply line (37) of the actuator (16) is fixed inside said communicating orifice (41).
