The invention relates to a method for producing a component, comprising at least one color coating, from a flat plastic part. One side of the flat plastic part is placed under pressure and impinged upon, i.e. preferably rear injected or foamed from behind, with a plastic material. The side of the flat plastic part thus impinged upon is preferably a polar layer and the plastic which is used is preferably a non polar carrier substance. In order to join both layers during the deforming process, a primer is applied to the side of the flat plastic part which is later impinged upon as mentioned above. The inventive method enables components to be produced from flat plastic parts with higher quality finishes (color coatings) and carrier coatings made of relatively inexpensive non-polar carrier substances, whereby both layers can be joined in an immaculate manner without the need for an adhesive or similar substance.
