摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and device for positioning the connecting surface angle of an optical part by which the light loss in the connecting surfaces of an optical fiber and the optical part ca be reduced. SOLUTION: Distances from the connecting surface 3A of an optical fiber 3 and the connecting surface 5A of an optical fiber 5 to a displacement gage 11 are respectively measured at respective two points while moving the displacement gage 11 which is provided facing the connecting surface 3A of the optical fiber 3 and the connecting surface 5A of the optical fiber guide 5 relatively in the X direction by a moving mechanism 13, and the angle of the line connecting two points on respective connecting surfaces is calculated from the difference of the distances by an arithmetic means 23. The optical fiber 3 is relatively rotated around an optical axis L to the optical fiber guide 5 by a rotating mechanism 7 and is positioned at a desired angle from the angle of the line on the connecting surface of the optical fiber 3 and the angle of the line on the connecting surface of the optical fiber guide 5.
