The device measures the positional height of a component surface, relative to a base plate (15) surface. A measurement tube (7) is seated on the base plate and has a measurement momentary-contact control (8) in its cavity. The control is movably mounted parallel to the frontal face of the tube. A timer (6) is joined to the momentary-contact control for measurement of the latter's position. The measurement control base surface dimensions are equal to or slightly less than the surface dimensions of the component , which may be a pin (9) or rivet embedded in a heat-sink or cooling plate of circuit-board.
