Thus, when the TRIFLE pulse 4 is applied to the scan electrode, the switching to a dark state is stabilized than the case that the pause period d is not provided, and the original effect of the TRIFLE pulse 4 is strengthened, and a non-rewrite margin is increased. Thus, the final drive margin being a common part between the non-rewrite margin and a rewrite margin is also increased necessarily.
