PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce transparent ice having a high quality in a short time by allowing air bubbles produced at the time of freezing to float upward efficiently so as to degass water in a short time. SOLUTION: A hot air blower system 22 is constituted by providing a fan 31 for blowing air, a duct 32 for guiding the air blown by the fan 31 to an ice making tray 21, a heater 33 for heating the air guided to the duct 32 and a plurality of nozzles 34 for blowing the hot air flowing in the duct 32 respectively toward ice making blocks 24. By this constitution, a degassing path for air bubbles are secured and the hot air is blown through the nozzles 34 so that the hot air flow is throttled so as to form a recess in a water face of each ice making block 24 and therefore, air bubbles adhering on a freezing surface is allowed to move upward quickly to degass the water.
