The removable label is marked with product and price information both in conventional print and in bar codes. The handle is formed by gluing the ends of the strip, with the detachable part protected by a varnish so it does not attach. The label (2) is printed at either end of the strip (1,3), or along the edges of the strip. The label is readily detached at a pre-formed line of weakness.
