PURPOSE: A system for testing the performance of an ISDN subscriber interface is provided to carry out a simple and exact performance inspection by preventing a performance judgment error dependent on the on/off of the power of an interface card, in checking the performance of the interface card installed in an ISDN subscriber side. CONSTITUTION: An ISDN subscriber interface performance inspection system consists of a subscriber interface(50), a tester(70) and a subscriber terminal(60). The subscriber interface(50) comprising a subscriber echo canceller(51) and a clock generation part(55) carries out the interface function of transmitting and receiving data with an ISDN exchange at a subscriber side. The clock generation part(55), composed of a decoder(56) and a clock generator(57), generates the clocks of a regular frequency, according to the operation status of the subscriber echo canceller(51). The decoder(56) outputs a relevant control signal according to an operation of the subscriber echo canceller(51). The clock generator(57) generates and outputs the clock signals of a required frequency. The tester(70) comprising a clock detector(72), exchanging signals with the subscriber echo canceller(51), tests performance in the exchange side. The clock detector(72) detects a clock of a required size from a signal transmitted from the subscriber interface(50). The subscriber terminal(60) carries out telephone voice and data communications, accessing the subscriber interface(50).
