PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut an object to be cut with high efficiency by fitting an auxiliary pulley for preventing a wire saw from being superposed at a position in close proximity to the outer periphery face of a drive wheel and using the pulley as a guide for the wire saw on the outer peripheral face of the wheel to wind the wire saw around the outer peripheral face of the wheel once or more. SOLUTION: An auxiliary pulley 8 for preventing a wire saw from being superposed is installed, as a loosely fitted pulley with a U-groove part 11, at fixed frames 14, 15 and also at a pivotally supporting shaft 13 which is retained by the fixed frames 14, 15 and arranged in parallel with the outer peripheral face of a drive wheel 1. In addition, the auxiliary pulley 8 acts as a guide for a diamond wire saw 4 and plays a role to secure a specified interval between the windings of the diamond wire saw 4 on the outer peripheral part of the outer peripheral face 12 of the drive wheel 1 by means of the auxiliary pulley 8 and the U-groove part 11, when the diamond wire saw 4 is wound, spaced from each other, around the outer peripheral face 12 once or more. Thus it is possible to prevent the windings of the diamond wire saw 4 from being superposed over or coming into contact with each other.
