The trailer (1) has at least one hydraulically or pneumatically sprung axle, above which the frame (2) can be adjusted in height. The towbar (3) with the towing eye (4) can be adjusted in height by means of a drive mechanism so that the height of the eye above the ground can be kept constant though the height of the frame varies.
