PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply remove ionizable impurities in a nonaqueous liquid layer, such as a lubricant, for use in a magnetic medium at low cost and with high efficiency in a removing method of the ionizable impurities. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous liquid layer, which incorporates the ionizable impurities which cannot be removed by deminaralized water washing, the nonaqueous liquid layer, which is a fluorine compound and cannot be removed by deminaralized water washing, or the nonaqueous liquid, which is a mixture of a fluorolubricant and a fluorosolvent and cannot be removed by deminaralized water washing, is washed with water to which an ionizable substance is added.
